10 Gangaw locals killed again by Pyu Saw Htee from North Khin Ran village

A combined column of the military council and military-backed Pyu Saw Htee based in North Khin Yan village killed ten locals from Thindaw, Shwebo and Yetha villages in Gangaw Township of Magway Region on 14 February, according to local residents.

“It is still difficult to confirm the names of victims. All the bodies have been recovered. They also torched the villages,” a local said.

On the morning of 14 February, local defense forces clashed with the military column of around 200 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members, locals said.

After the clash, the military column killed seven civilians from Thindaw village, one from Yetha village and two from Shwebo village. They also torched Thindaw and Shwebo villages, locals said.

Two revolutionary soldiers who were captured during the battle were burned alive by the Pyu Saw Htee members who killed the locals from North Khin Yan village.

On 7 and 12 February, the military council provided them with more than 200 G3 rifles, RPGs and heavy weapons, locals said.
