A man who led the Spring Revolution shot dead in Teedim

December 6th, 2021

A 38-year man who led the Spring Revolution in Teedim of Chin State was shot dead on the morning of December 5th.

Pa Cin Sian Sum was shot dead by an unnamed armed group in Myoma ward in Teedim Township where he spent a one-night stay.

A local said: “He did not dare to sleep at his home. He had to stay at another person’s house. An armed group searched him at the house where he was staying. Two gunmen fired two shots at him.”

In a statement issued by the Zomi Federal Union-PDF Zoland, we strongly denounce such violence and bullying. We have already known the organization which opposes the Spring Revolution and two persons who are responsible for assassination. We would uncover the truth about the cause of deliberate killing and make continued efforts until justice prevails.”

Pa Cin Sian Sum led anti-coup protests and actively participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in Teedim Township.
