Artillery shelling kills a teacher and her child in Bilin Townshi

A 25-year-old female teacher and her 1.2-year-old child were killed by the heavy shell fired by the military council, in Asuchaung village in Bilin Township in Mon State.

On the afternoon of June 23th, the artillery shell landed in front of teacher Ma Naw San San Aye (aka) Naw Aye near the school, according to a local.

“The military fired artillery shells via the Natgyi outpost, for no apparent reason. Teacher Naw San San Aye (aka) Naw Aye and her child were seriously wounded by the artillery shelling,” the local adds.

They were sent to Bilin Township People’s Hospital. But both died on the evening of June 24th.

On June 23th, the military fired more than seven rounds of artillery shells into Asuchaung village.

On June 22th, a 28-year-old woman was wounded by the artillery shell fired by the military council, into Minsaw village in Bilin Township.
